Once a bride-to-be says yes to a proposal, she simply cannot wait to pick out that beautiful wedding dress, but as brides start to look, it can be extremely overwhelming, according to The Huffington Post. However, the bride will find the gown she always wanted.
“You’ll find the right, dream dress,” designer Romona Keveza told the news source. “When you know, you know. And it’s in your heart, not your head. Just like when you found the right guy.”
Many brides-to-be look to the catwalk to see what the latest trends will be, and after the New York Bridal market this past weekend, a number of trends emerged for spring 2013. According to the New York Daily News, there was a wide range of styles walking down the runway. Everything from classic gowns to vintage Hollywood appeared, including short hemlines with long trains to layers of tulle and French lace.
The basic colors of ivory, champagne and bright white ruled the runway, but designer Vera Wang added a few different hues. The famous wedding dress designer, who last year showed off a series of black gowns, presented dresses in scarlet and crimson. Designers Keveza and Oscar de la Renta also featured red gowns.
