Along with letting us share this incredible engagement photography session, Courtney Miller also provided us with her words of wisdom for brides who are just starting to look for their wedding photographer.
NEVER pick a photographer based on price alone. If your house was burning down, and every family member was safe outside, what item would you be most devastated about losing? What items would you grab as you ran out of the house? For most people the answer is their photographs. It’s the one thing that you cannot replace. Especially the ones taken back in the film days! Needless to say, if your photos were burned up, what amount of money would you spend to replace them? Photos are priceless, yet, in this industry, people aren’t budgeting correctly for their photography. The decorations, the seat covers, the food…all of that stuff fades away but your photos don’t. They’re what you’ll have to pass on to your children, and your children’s children. They’re part of your legacy. Don’t cut corners when it comes to choosing a great photographer.
Also, when you’re shopping around for a photographer, have a consultation with them and ask to see a few of their weddings, from start to finish. You’d be surprised at some of the false advertising and copyright infringement that’s going on out there.” -Courtney Miller of Courtney Miller Photography
