As the temperature warms up, the color scheme for weddings brightens up. Because dark colors attract heat and bring about a melancholy feeling, flowing white wedding gowns, linens, tents, and flowers become the optimal for summer weddings. White allows for an airy and elegant atmosphere even in the blistering heat. Some couples are afraid a white color scheme will be too boring, but here we have a few ways to create a stunning and far from ordinary white wedding…
1. Mix white with metallic : If the lack of color is too bland for you, add pops of gold, platinum, or silver to bring about some excitement! Think white linens and white flowers with gold Chiavary chairs and gold-rimmed glasses; or white linens, silver urns with cascading white blooms, and silver Chiavary chairs.
2. Add natural colors : Use the beauty of the nature around to your advantage! Sand and greenery complement white perfectly. A bamboo canopy draped in white organza makes a perfect backdrop for a wedding on a beach or a field.
3. Use lots of texture : Incorporate flowers of varying textures like calla lilies, hydrangeas, and roses. Use white fabric linens inlayed with white rose appliqués, or brocades, and don’t forget to add texture to your cake! White fondant with white pin tucks or sugar work is stunning.
4. Use candles, crystals, and/or glass. Candlelight reflects off of white, and the crystals or glass will magnify that sparkle exquisitely.
