The first time we took a peek at these photos from Luis + Tania’s wedding, we just knew it had been a really special day. Photographic Perspectives, one of our very favorite Albuquerque/Santa Fe photographers has a way of truly capturing authenticity on camera, so it really was no surprise that we adored them so.
We live vicariously through our local brides + vendors because, well, wouldn’t you? The best part about being in the wedding world is being able to really revel in the details of a celebration like this one. From the touches of pearl hidden here and there, to the stunning black bridesmaids dresses, to the love between Tania + Luis that lights up in photos of them together — we loved every little moment about this wedding.
But when Sandra + John, the husband-wife mastermind duo behind Photographic Perspectives, told us the story of Luis + Tania’s big day, we really could hardly contain ourselves. See, we had the absolute honor of announcing Luis + Tania’s engagement in our magazine last Fall, and we may or may not have gotten a little emotionally attached to this beautiful couple since then. Watching and playing a teeny, tiny role in making their wedding day manifest into the phenomenal union of love that it was — it doesn’t get much better than that.
We’ll leave you here so you can scroll on and get lost in the photos and fairytale of this day yourself, just do your best to not get tears of happiness on your phone/computer like we did.
We had a great time with Tania & Luis, as laughter is always expected when we’re with them!
Time came for us to take their Couple Portraits, and as we always do, we scouted the perfect spot in the field just outside of Noah’s Event Venue. We aim to keep our bride and groom away from the party as little as possible, so I had both of my cameras set just before Tania & Luis reached the perfect spot. Gave them a few cues for the shot and snapped off a couple of photographs.
We paused for a moment as we all hear a rushing noise coming closer. Not quite sure what it is I snapped off a couple more photographs. When all of sudden we realize what the rushing noise is as a downpour of rain hits us and we all start running back to the reception for cover.
Once indoors we are laughing at how Tania beat all of us inside; her wedding gown did not impede her speed to take cover! Nothing quite like a New Mexico monsoon rain as a blessing on Tania and Luis’ wedding day!
